When to go

Weather & best time to visit

Warm, sunny and breezy for most of the year. The right month mostly depends on how busy you want the island to be.

The seasons

Peak: December to April

Sunny, dry and comfortable, with highs from the mid 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit. This is the busiest and most expensive time, so book early.

Shoulder season: May to mid-August

Warm, sunny and much quieter, with lower rates. June is a lovely month to visit, July is exceptional, and early August is great, especially before restaurants begin to close for the slow season.

Slow season: late August to October

The peak of hurricane season. Many restaurants and hotels close for a break, so check before you book. Travel insurance and flexible bookings are a smart idea.
