Why it matters
Small Island, Big Community
On an island this small, the things that make life here work, from reading programs and sailing lessons to caring for stray pups and horses, are carried by local people and a few dedicated organizations. They give Briland children a head start in learning, confidence on the water and practical skills, and they look after the animals that share the island. Most run on community goodwill and the generosity of visitors, so even a small gift goes a long way. If you love your time here, supporting one of them is a simple way to leave the island a little better.
